Boots in December

December is here and it is getting colder and colder each day. Then some days are not even cold at all. It’s sort of confusing if you ask me and the perfect weather to get sick in. In addition to having NYX be the brand that I’m focusing on in December, I’m also going around looking for cute boots everywhere. Online or in-store, I am here for a good boot. I’ve been looking for rain boots for some time now. I didn’t really see any that I liked until I was online at Charlotte Russe. I found these:

I liked these because I’ve never seen the leopard print before.  Charlotte Russe was very quick with processing and shipping. I ordered the boots on the 26th of November, they shipped on the 27th and arrived on the 30th. With tax and shipping I ended up paying 25.98 which is not bad at all. I was extremely pleased with the boots and I will be wearing them soon. I will post a picture.

Rent The Runway

I stumbled upon this website one day while I was on the computer. It’s called RentTheRunway.com. You can rent designer dresses by well established designers for a couple of hundred dollars. This immediately reminded me of the movie Sex and the City when Jennifer Hudson was renting handbags so now they took it to the next level and  you can rent dresses. I really don’t know how I feel about this. Even though I love Vera Wang and would love to wear any of her dresses anywhere, this is just not me.  First off I would not want to give it back and I don’t care if I probably would not wear it again lol. Then I’m paying hundreds of dollars for something I can’t keep. I think not! I don’t go anywhere this extravagant to wear one of this dresses but maybe I will keep it in mind just in case. It’s like putting on a front like when people buy fake purses, I can’t get into that now or ever. At least with this site it’s not fake merchandise.  Now if there is a place where I can rent some Christian Louboutin’s then we can talk…..maybe lol.

I’ve been checking out the site Venus.com for quite some time now. I needed somewhere to go before I actually purchased anything from them lol. They have a ton of cute stuff but they specialize in swimwear. So I ordered a dress for a wedding I was going to attend. I went back and forth about ordering it because I was not sure if I really wanted it. Well…….the best part of the dress is that it was only $29 bucks. I was most certainly happy with that. I signed up for their newsletter and ended up getting free shipping on the dress which really made it just $29. I’m cheap as hell. I don’t know how I got this way because if you know me you know I haven’t always been this way but anyway back to the dress. I fell in love with the dress on the website because the chick wearing it was definitely working it:

So for the price I went on ahead and ordered it. I ordered the dress on Sept. 11th and it arrived on Sept. 13th which was great as far as standard shipping which I didn’t even have to pay for so I was very pleased with that. The packaging looked like this:

I took it out and the first thing that I noticed was the material, I was not crazy about it. It is a Viscose and Spandex mix. The fit was okay. I probably could of gotten an extra small(yes I’m that little, no Nicki Minaj booties over here lol) The day of the wedding it happened to be raining really bad and of course you could see it all over the dress. Also the material is not the best thing to  iron. And the belt loop string broke. So all in all I was disappointed but that’s what happens when you get things on sale. Sometimes they don’t turn out right. I was disappointed with this item but I will not let that steer me away from the site. I will try something that’s not on sale next time. Oh and here is me in the dress, I was rushing so excuse the arm and the naked neck.
